Our 5 piece PVC edged shakers with an 8mm centre panel are built using a 90mm wide (18mm thick) frame and 8mm centre panel, and then edged all round. They can also be supplied with safety backed coloured glass or mirrors.
Cross rails
There are two options for cross rails with the Hoghton door:
- The standard Hoghton door doesn’t include cross rails as part of the construction and if required they can be supplied loose at an extra cost per rail. The cross rails are 60mm wide.
- We can now offer, for an extra cost per door, fixed cross rails that are part of the construction of the door. Please note, however, that for doors that have a fixed cross rail, the doors are made with a 100mm frame, and the cross rail is also 100mm.
When ordering a Hoghton door with a fixed cross rail, we also need to know the split required to position the cross rail. Please be aware that if you are also ordering Hoghton doors for the same job, without cross rails, we will need you to indicate whether these should be made in 100mm or the standard 90mm profiles.
Please note the shaker doors with an 8mm centre panel are not suitable for use as sliding doors or in kitchens or areas where high moisture is present. They are also not available as angled doors.
